Deck oiling at Isbjerget, Aarhus Ø
A grey and lifeless wooden balcony regained its warm, deep glow in just a couple of days.
A wooden balcony of approx. 12 m² (range approx. 8-16 m²) at Isbjerget in Aarhus Ø had become sun-bleached, grey and lightly covered in algae. Øens HåndværkerCentral applied a mild algae treatment, gently cleaned the surface without pressure washing, then oiled it. In 1-2 days, the wood had a warm, saturated finish and a renewed sense of quality.

The task
The balcony showed its age, with a dull, sun-bleached appearance, light algae growth and uneven colour. The wood looked dry and lifeless. The customer wanted to bring the surface back to life without sanding.

- Mild algae treatment with a wood-friendly cleaning agent
- Rinsing and light washing without pressure washing
- Treatment without sanding, with care to protect the wood and preserve its lifespan
- A final coat of oil to saturate the wood and improve its appearance
The result
After treatment, the wood looks clean, even and refreshed. Oiling gave the surface a rich, deep glow and a quality finish while preserving the natural grain.
