Deck and balcony oiling plan

We start by visiting and inspecting your deck. Then we oil it twice a year, with oil, labour and travel included in the price.

Your first month covers the visit. We call within 24 hours and measure the area. If the price is not right, we adjust the plan and refund you.

A year with the plan

A wooden deck needs two visits a year. We schedule them for when they will help most, and contact you when it is time.

First oil treatment

We contact you, book a day and prepare your deck for the season.

Enjoy your deck

A smooth, well-oiled surface without splinters. Advice is included in the plan; call whenever you need us.

Second oil treatment

We oil the wood before the weather changes to protect it against moisture and frost.

Winter

Your deck stays protected

The oil keeps the wood conditioned and stable, ready for spring when we start again.

You do not need to remember a thing. We manage the schedule and let you know when the next treatment is due.

Splinters

Oil keeps the wood fibres down

Without oil, the fibres rise and can cause splinters when you walk barefoot. A well-oiled surface stays smooth and comfortable underfoot all summer.

Algae and dirt

Well-oiled wood repels moisture and dirt

Oiled wood absorbs less moisture and dirt, making it harder for algae to take hold. Your deck stays looking good for longer between treatments.

Sun and drying

Sun dries the wood; oil helps keep it conditioned

Dry wood turns grey and cracks. Wood oil helps condition it, preserving its colour and helping it last for many more years.

How do you calculate the price?
The price depends on the size of your deck or balcony. Choose the size at the top of the page to see the price straight away. Up to 15 m² costs 104 kr per month, and 21 to 30 m² costs 150 kr. All prices include VAT and cover two treatments a year. If your deck is over 200 m², call us for a fixed quote.
How and when do I pay?
You pay by card on this site, and payments are taken automatically each month. Choose to pay a year in advance and save 15 percent. You receive an email receipt each time and a reminder before each payment.
Why does a deck need oiling twice a year?
Oil helps keep the wood in good condition. Without it, the wood fibres rise and can cause splinters. Oiled wood absorbs less moisture and dirt, making it harder for algae to take hold. Sun dries out the wood, turning it grey and causing cracks, while oil helps condition it and preserve its colour. Two treatments a year, typically in spring and autumn, help maintain that protection.
What time of year do you visit?
We agree this with you. Treatments are usually in spring and autumn, but we do not set specific months in advance, as the timing needs to suit your deck and your schedule. We keep track of when it is due and contact you to arrange a day.
Can I just oil the deck myself?
Yes, you can, and many people do it themselves. With a plan, you do not have to track when it is overdue, buy oil or set aside a weekend. We visit twice a year, you can ask for advice about the wood, plant pots and moisture, and you know the price in advance.
What if I want to cancel?
You can cancel the plan yourself through your account on this site, with no minimum term. You can also pause it if you want to skip a season.
Does the plan also cover balconies?
Yes. The plan covers both wooden decks and balconies, with the same pricing based on the area in square metres. If your balcony is made from another material, call us and we will let you know whether we can help.
What if my deck needs more than oil?
We will tell you. The plan covers two oil treatments a year. If your deck needs more, you can add cleaning, sanding or an extra oil treatment. You will know the price before any additional work starts.
