Algae treatment at the AARhus building
The paving looks clean and crisp again, giving the roof terrace a fresh, premium appearance.
Øens treated and cleaned a paved roof terrace of approx. 60 m² at the AARhus building in Aarhus Ø for algae. High humidity and exposure to seawater from the bay had left the paving slippery and discoloured, with algae and surface deposits. A complete treatment with low-pressure cleaning and sealing left the paving clean and looking fresh again.

The task
The roof terrace sits high above Aarhus Bay with direct views over the water, exposing it to high humidity, wind and seawater. The paving had become slippery and discoloured, with algae and surface deposits. Weeds and lichen had also started to grow in the planted beds along the edges.
