How we sand and care for your balcony

Balconies naturally weather over time. Algae, dirt and moisture can build up in the wood, affecting its appearance and making the surface slippery. Thorough algae cleaning removes the build-up and helps reduce the damp conditions that can contribute to rot and fungal growth.

Once the algae have been removed, sanding can smooth out uneven areas and splinters that have developed over time. This makes the wood more comfortable underfoot and prepares it for the next step: oiling.

After cleaning and sanding, we apply oil to help protect the wood against moisture and dirt. The oil also brings out its natural colour and grain, giving your balcony a fresh, well-maintained appearance.

Together, algae cleaning, sanding and oiling help extend the life of your balcony and keep it in good condition. Regular care can make a noticeable difference to both its appearance and durability.
